Hard to believe we are almost into June already - I hope you are enjoying your golfing year so far.

There was a lot of team golf played over the last twelve weeks in the Barton Cup, O’Grady Cup, Leinster Fourball, Metropolitan Trophy and the Best Cup (full details here).

A big thank you to players, managers and caddies for your time and dedication.

Over this weekend we had twelve clubs competing in the Pierce Purcell qualifiers at Elmgreen, a great honour for us, the second time in two years we hosted the competition.  It was also a great honour  for me as Captain to represent you.

I am very proud of  the Pierce Purcell team, the caddies, ball spotters, supporters, and team manager Denis Murphy. Well done on your magnificent achievement in coming out tops against eleven other teams in the qualifiers. Best of luck to you all in the quarter finals.

There was nothing but high praise for the condition of the course and compliments from everyone. A big thank you to our course superintendent Darragh Sheppard and all the green keeping staff for getting it ready.
