I would like to thank everyone for their support and good wishes and for making the drive-in last Sunday such a great success. The big turnout made it a great occasion - and of course the weather also helped!

It was a great pleasure for me to play on the day with the Lady Captain Felicia McCormack, Lady President Dolorus Brady and our own President Frank Barrett.

Thanks also to the committee, Carr Golf and Lime Tree Caterers for their great service on the day.

The golf course was at its finest with the flags, flowers and the pristine condition of the course all contributing to a very enjoyable day for everyone.

A special word of thanks to our greenkeeping staff for their hard work and dedication to present the course in such superb condition, especially at this time of year.

I have nominated the Huntington's Disease Association of Ireland as the charity that will benefit from your kind contributions on the day.

I wish you all good health, good cheer and good golf for the year ahead.
